The Big Freeze

Over the past couple of days, it's been snowing in the UK.  Schools have been canceled.  Airports have closed. Commuters have been instructed to stay home.  Back in Idaho, a couple of inches of snow and temperatures in the 20's (that's Fahrenheit) wouldn't slow anyone down.  Actually, it's the norm in the Rocky Mountains, but here in Britain, the snow and ice can be crippling.  The country is simply not prepared for this kind of weather.  Because it only snows a couple times a year, they haven't invested in snow removal supplies, equipment, resources.  I braved the temperatures and slick pavement and ventured out into Richmond to snap a few freezing photos.

Killer Mac 'n' Cheese

In my last post, I mentioned that I took a quick unexpected trip to Boston.  I spent a day walking around the city and stopped at my favorite lunch spot in the Downtown Crossing area.  When I worked for Digitas, I used to frequent Deli One at lunchtime for my weekly fix of mac 'n' cheese.  They make the best mac 'n' cheese I've ever tasted!  I took a few photos while there.
