California Dreamin' - Part Uno

Over the Christmas break, my hubby (Jerry) and I traveled to the US to visit family.  We spent a few days in Ontario, California with Jerry's dad, sister, and nephew.  We drove out to Huntington Beach for a day.  I took my camera along and found some bright California colors.

The Big Freeze

Over the past couple of days, it's been snowing in the UK.  Schools have been canceled.  Airports have closed. Commuters have been instructed to stay home.  Back in Idaho, a couple of inches of snow and temperatures in the 20's (that's Fahrenheit) wouldn't slow anyone down.  Actually, it's the norm in the Rocky Mountains, but here in Britain, the snow and ice can be crippling.  The country is simply not prepared for this kind of weather.  Because it only snows a couple times a year, they haven't invested in snow removal supplies, equipment, resources.  I braved the temperatures and slick pavement and ventured out into Richmond to snap a few freezing photos.

A Day in Boston

After finding a super cheap flight to Boston, I decided on a whim to fly across the pond to visit my sister.  I flew over to spend some time with my fam and help my sister with house projects, but I took one day out to walk around Boston.  Here’s some photos from the day.  The dog photo is inspired by Elliot Erwitt’s chihuahua photo.
